Q. Can you tell me about your birthday parties?

A. Sure. Here are the basics:

Rates for all groups including Birthday parties are $16 per climber with
an eight-climber minimum.

That includes:
Entrance to the gym
All equipment rental for both adults and kids
A group belay safety class where we will teach anyone in your group 13
years or older how to hold the ropes for the younger kids
A party table reservation for two to three hours which is how long most parties last

You are welcome to bring in food or order pizza et. We keep local pizzeria
numbers on hand so you can deal with ordering when you get
here. Feel free to bring in a camera and or video camera. We have a
refrigerator and a small freezer for your use as well.

Please reserve as far in advance as possible and allow for a credit card
deposit at the time of reservation.

All climbers under age 18 must have a waiver signed by their parents
before they come and climb.

Q. What happens once we get to Rocknasium?

A. First we will introduce you to a staff person who will hang out with your party until every one is climbing safely on their own. Then we will direct you to your table where you may begin any food/decoration set up that you wish.

Once your guests arrive, our staff will outfit them with climbing shoes and harnesses. After everyone is present and properly equipped the staff will then give a demonstration and instruct the belayers on how to safely hold the ropes for the climbers. During this time the kids will also receive basic instructions and rules regarding their safety. Once the staff feels that your party can safely climb on their own, you will be free to go and climb anywhere in the gym you wish. There is no time limit on how long you can stay and climb; most groups tend to stay around 2 to 3 hours.

Q. Can we bring our own food and drinks?

A. Yes. Rocknasium encourages you to bring in outside food and drink. If you reserve in advance we will provide you with a table to eat at.

Q. Do you have the phone numbers of local pizza places.

A. Yes we have phone numbers for local pizzerias. Most deliver here regularly and take about 40 minutes from the time you place the call. You are more than welcome to use our phone to place orders.

Q. Do you have a freezer for an ice cream cake?

A. Yes. We have a small freezer (8"H X 13"W) for cakes or ice cream. We also find that a refrigerated ice cream cake holds up nicely.
