Lead Climbing 5.10 - 5.12

The responsibility of taking the “sharp end” and leading the rope is no joking matter, nor is belaying it. In Part I of this two-part class you will learn clipping techniques on vertical and overhanging walls as well as climbing techniques such as; finding your center, route assessment, how to rest, and straight arm climbing, all necessary for leading.
In part II of the lead class we’ll have a brief recap of part I to get you warmed up then, you will focus on the belaying of the leader.  We will focus on giving safe dynamic belays that will give your climber the confidence to push forward!

This class is offered by appointment only.

Cost is $50.00 per person and includes:

• Two classes
• Two hours of instruction per class
• Climbing time for the remainder of the evening
